SHAWN MARIE & ADAM RAVAZANO
We are Shawn and Adam, husband the and wife duo of Love and Water Photography, specializing in water portraiture and ocean art. Currently based on Maui, Hawaii, we are moving back home to Australia in March 2017 to raise our family and further pursue adventure portrait and water photography.
We share a love of adventure, having traveled across Australia in a camper van with our golden retriever Marley, and enjoy early mornings in the ocean together either on surfboards or walking the dog along the beach.
This image was shot at Big Beach on the south side Maui on a colorful morning just before sunrise. It was photographed using an AquaTech water housing and Canon camera setup which is the perfect combo for shooting a shore break. Sunrise is one of our favorite times to shoot whether from the ocean or on the beach, as that time of day lends itself to the pastel colors and beautiful blue waters we love capturing most.
Extreme photographer Stan Moniz was a water baby at birth, raised in the quiet surf town of Waialua, Hawaii. He became a professional body boarder at the age of 18 and remains an avid surfer. His passion for music brought him to Southern California in 2000 and after a very successful career in a professional touring band, he ultimately set his sights on his other great passion: photography. In 2010, he reacquainted himself with his love for the ocean, adventure and capturing the beauty of the world we live in. Stan, now equipped with a camera, travels the earth, capturing those timeless moments to share with the world.
Stan's passion for capturing those delicate moments with it being capturing the lip of a curling wave in the water at sunrise, to photographing the starry night skies above have caught on like wildfire in the recent years! Landing Stan with images on the cover of "Outdoor Photographer Magazine" and other publications showcasing his work in articles, galleries and how to stories.

Stan: “Shot along a patch of reef in D September at Shaw’s Cove in North
Laguna Beach. Timed and taken just right as the sun was beginning to set behind the palm trees on the bluff in the background. With no wind, the ocean surface was
pure glass, causing each and every wave to break with perfection along this little stretch of reef.”
Shawn: “It was shot with a flash assisted Aquatech water housing setup which is so much fun when the shore break is small and with clear water. Around ten minutes before sunrise is always the best colours.”
